Newly elected U.S. President Joe Biden has called on President Donald Trump to sign a coronavirus incentive bill passed in Congress. In a statement issued Saturday, Biden sharply criticized Trump's refusal to sign the bill. Biden also called it a "failure to act." He also warned Trump of the devastating consequences of not doing so.

Biden said today is the day after Christmas, but millions of families do not know if they will be able to meet their needs in the end, because President Donald Trump did not sign an economic aid bill that passed by a wide margin in Congress and received the support of a two-party majority. Biden praised the kind of concessions made by members of Congress from their respective positions in drafting the bill. He said President Trump should also join them; Ensuring that millions of Americans can put food on their tables and put a roof over their heads this holiday season.

"I just want our great people to get 2,000 instead of the meager 700 on the bill," Trump wrote in a tweet following Biden's call.

If Trump doesn't sign the bill into law by next Saturday, it will have an impact on many things, including a ban on unemployment benefits and evictions. The bill, which was passed last week after months of bargaining, includes a ৯ 90 billion incentive package that would offer a one-time payment of 800 to Americans earning less than  75,000 a year. Donald Trump wants to raise  2,000 at a time; However, Republicans in Congress are now reluctant to amend the bill.
